Assessing its performance as the governing body of CASA
We are ONE team.
CASA of Gage County creates a supportive, inclusive, and flexible environment where everyone feels trusted, valued, and respected. By empowering volunteers, we ensure children involved in the child welfare system have a dedicated, passionate, and powerful voice advocating for their best interests. CASA provides critical and transformative resources, recommendations, and solutions that help change the trajectory of a child’s life.
Through best-interest advocacy, our staff, board members, and volunteers make a life-changing difference for the community’s most vulnerable children. Our work is driven by our mission, vision, and shared values.
Volunteers work closely with legal professionals, child welfare workers, educators, and service providers to ensure judges have all the information needed to make informed decisions for each child.
CASA volunteers are assigned to just one or two children—or sibling groups—at a time, allowing them to dedicate the time and attention each case deserves. They remain involved from the appointment until the child reaches permanency.
Judges depend on CASA volunteers for unbiased, comprehensive information. Judges consistently report that CASA advocates make a positive, lasting impact in the lives of the children they serve.
